Knauf award for outstanding academic achievements for Christof Weiß

Since 2025, the Award for Outstanding Academic Achievements, established by its benefactors Baldwin and Inge Knauf aims to promote early-career researchers and to strengthen JMU’s commitment to excellence and competitiveness across all fields of research. In 2026, it is granted to Christof Weiß in the category "humanities" and comes with €50,000 to support the flexible advancement of the recipient’s academic career. The award ceremony took place at the 624. Stiftungsfest on 11.5.2026 in JMU's Neubaukirche.
