Three open research positions
07/16/2026We have three open research positions for PhD students and/or postdocs. The topics include LLM post-training, modular architectures for sample-efficient adaptation of LMs, and vision-language-action models for robotic manipulation. All three positions are open until filled and the start is as early as possible.
WueNLP invites applications for three open research positions (for PhD candidates and/or postdocs). High-level topics of the positions are as follows: (1) LLM post-training, (2) modular architectures for sample-efficient adaptation of LMs, and (3) vision-language-action models for robotic manipulation. Below you will find more details for each position:
- Modular architectures for sample-efficient adaptation of language models for low-resource domains (PhD, up to 4 years)
- Vision-Language-Action models for robotic manipulation (PhD or postdoc, initially 15 months with likely extension)
- Post-training of open-source mixture-of-experts LLMs (PhD or postdoc, 12 months with a possible extension)
All three positions are open until filled, and for each of them, the start is as early as possible.
