Yannik Venohr's thesis published in Springer's "Best Masters" series

We are pleased to announce that the thesis of one of our researchers, Yannik Venohr, has been published by Springer Nature as part of the BestMasters book series.

The book delves into the field of Musical Emotion Recognition (MER), aiming to develop a mathematical model to predict the emotional content of music. It explores the fundamentals of this interdisciplinary research area, including the relationship between music and emotions, mathematical representations of music and deep learning algorithms. It explores the use of foundation models for this highly abstract task and, driven by the subjectivity of musical emotions, investigates personalized emotion recognition.
