Introduction to Machine Learning for Neuroscientists

On January 20th, Prof. Dr. Ingo Scholtes will give an introductory lecture on foundations of machine learning at the Second Zurich Symposium on Machine Intelligence in Neuroscience.

This international conference is organized by the Machine Intelligence in Clinical Neuroscience (MICN) Laboratory, which is affiliated with the Department of Neurosurgery and the Clinical Neuroscience Center of the University Hospital Zurich.

In his introductory invited lecture, Prof. Scholtes will cover basics of statistical learning that are suitable to introduce key AI concepts like supervised and unsupervised learning, classification, clustering, as well as model selection and generalizability.
