We have three open research positions for PhD students and/or postdocs. The topics include LLM post-training, modular architectures for sample-efficient adaptation of LMs, and vision-language-action models for robotic manipulation. All three positions are open until filled and the start is as early as possible.

WüNLP members published three papers at the 2025 Conference on Empirical Methods in Natural Language Processing (EMNLP), a top-tier venue in NLP, which took place in Suzhou, China.

On July 8th, Fabian David Schmidt successfully defended his PhD thesis, titled "Robust and Scalable

Cross-Lingual Transfer". The thesis evaluation committee, as well as the defense committee, found Fabian's work to be of exceptional scientific value, awarding it the "summa cum laude" (mit Auszeichnung) grade.
