At this year’s EULAR European Congress of Rheumatology, AIMI researcher Maja Schlereth presented her latest abstract entitled “Development of a Deep Learning-Based Tool for the Automated Grading of Synovitis and Classification of Arthritis Using Ultrasound Imaging”.

Fateme Atayi joined the Pattern Recognition Group/AIMI lab at CAIDAS as a PhD student in February 2025.

On January 23rd, AIMI-member Frauke Wilm successfully defended her dissertation “Cross-Domain Generalization of Deep Learning-Based Image Analysis Algorithms in Histopathology” at FAU Erlangen-Nürnberg.

At this year’s “International Conference on Medical Image Computing and Computer Assisted Intervention” (MICCAI), AIMI researcher Jingna Qiu presented her latest work on prototype sampling, a novel method that uses image captions to guide selective annotation of whole slide images.
